How Two Ba Zi Charts Are Read Together
Compatibility in Ba Zi is two full charts read side by side. It looks for how the patterns meet. It does not hand you a percentage or a yes.
Two people, two eight-character charts
A relationship reading in this tradition does not start from a sun-sign pairing or from a single โlove animal.โ It starts from two Ba Zi charts. Each person has a year, month, day and hour pillar. Each has a Day Master. The reading asks how those two arrangements sit together: which stems and branches meet, where the charts support one another, where they press, and which ten-year cycles overlap in calendar time. What if one of us does not know the birth time?
Say so. The hour pillar should stay unknown rather than be filled in with noon. A comparison can still discuss the pillars you both have. It should label the missing hour instead of pretending the chart is complete.
Will the reading tell us to stay or leave?
No. It can describe traditional patterns and ask you to check them. Staying or leaving is a decision about two lives. A chart does not have that authority.
